Meet Renna

Renna is a bright, curious 4-year-old who lights up any room she enters. She’s a people person through and through—always ready to make a new friend and dive into new adventures. With her QuickTalker Freestyle speech device, Renna now has even more ways to connect with the world around her, making every greeting, request, and playful moment uniquely her own.

Renna's Journey to Communication

Since June 2023, Renna has been using the QuickTalker Freestyle, and her communication skills have blossomed. Brenda, her mom, shares, “Her communication has progressed drastically. It’s become part of our vocabulary and our lives. It’s really helping her to be more involved with other kids.”

Molly, Renna’s Speech-Language Pathologist, shares why AbleNet’s QuickTalker Freestyle was the perfect choice:

  • Renna Can Use Her Voice Anywhere:
“It was really important to us that we have something that can not only support communication at school but that can also go home and go into community settings so that Renna can always have the ability to communicate.”
  • Renna’s Device Grows With Her:
“Renna’s communication is a journey, and there is the possibility that we may need to pivot on grid size, keyguard options, and software options – we have that flexibility to change things as Renna’s needs change and we learn more about her.”
  • AbleNet’s Streamlined Funding Process:
AbleNet really does support families with each step in their funding process, whether that’s communicating things to families via emails and texts, or the wealth of information on their website.

Real Impact: A New Way to Connect

"Renna has so much to offer and so much to say. I am so excited to hear all of it; to know what's happening in her head and hear what's on her mind. Everyone deserves access to communication." - Molly

"It's a great way to educate other children about different ways people communicate." - Brenda
