WHAT BEING AN AMBASSADOR LOOKS LIKE
Participation is flexible and based on what feels right for you. Mix and match — or just pick one.
Bowling, park meetups, sensory gym hangouts — casual gatherings in your local community.
Zoom game nights, book clubs, craft & sip sessions — connect from anywhere.
Get paired with another member for real connection and support — virtually or in person.
The ableFamilies team is here to support you with brainstorming, planning, and logistics — so you feel confident getting started.
WE'VE GOT YOU
AbleNet supports Ambassadors every step of the way, so the only thing you have to focus on is the people.
Venues, food, materials — AbleNet picks up the tab.
Invitations and registration are managed for you.
Tools, templates, and a Parent Enthusiast in your corner.
We’re happy to work with you on anything that comes up.
HOW TO GET STARTED
2
A Parent Enthusiast will reach out to schedule a quick call with brief training.
3
Host, match, or simply welcome — at whatever pace feels right.
WHO'S INVITED?
Events are for families who have opted into the ableFamilies program and use the QuickTalker Freestyle, along with their immediate family members.
NOT INTO HOSTING?
Our member matching program pairs you one-on-one with another ableFamilies member for connection and support — virtually or in person.
Over the past year, ableFamilies has brought families together through over 25 events — from live learning sessions to hands-on demos, community conversations, and practical AAC workshops. These moments have helped families feel supported, connected, and empowered in their communication journeys.
