Getting Started: Funding A Speech Device with AbleNet

Our goal is to ensure every SLP has the tools and support they need to help an individual obtain a high tech speech device using their medical insurance. Join us for a short webinar to learn how to simplify speech device funding by using resources and tools available to you to maximize your success and get speech devices into your students and clients hands as quickly as possible.

Presenter Biography: Tarren DePelsMaeker received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Michigan State University in 2018. In 2020, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Michigan State University. She also holds a Professional License as a Speech-Language Pathologist and a certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

Her professional career as a Speech-Language Pathologist includes experience in Schools Districts, Clinics, Outpatient Services, and Acute Care. Tarren has provided Speech and Language Therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults with Sound-System Disorders, Apraxia of Speech, Dysarthria, Dysphagia, Language Impairments, Fluency Disorders, Voice Disorders, Developmental Delays, Social Communication Disorders, Language Literacy Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, and Autism.

Her role at AbleNet is to share information regarding Augmentative and Alternative Communication with Speech-Language Pathologists and others to support children, adolescents, and adults.
