To determine if your client’s or student’s insurance will cover the cost of a QuickTalker Freestyle speech device, AbleNet conducts a benefit check with their medical insurer. Providing the information needed online to start a benefit check only takes a minute and within 1 to 2-days we’ll know if insurance will cover the cost of the QuickTalker Freestyle speech device, if there is any family contribution, and if the insurer requires a trial.
Our benefit check process saves the speech-language pathologist time and sets expectations for the family of the speech device user upfront.
Our Streamlined Process Alleviates Stress And Saves Time
Once a benefit check is completed, and a decision to move forward is made, we only ask that the speech-language pathologist write the speech evaluation report. AbleNet’s funding team will contact the doctor for the DME order, review your speech evaluation report to ensure it best meets the insurer’s criteria, organize all of the documentation, and submit it to the insurer.
